Walker Coomer, Sr., 70, of 1239 Payne, died at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Infirmary. He was a carpenter for Paul Evola garage-builders.
Survivors include his wife, the former Cecilia Miller; his mother, Mrs. Jane Coomer, of Apple, Ky.; two daughters, Miss Ula Mae Coomer, who lives in Michigan, and Mrs. Bertha Pitman; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Roberta Maddox; two sons, Walker Coomer Jr., of Jeffersonville, and Winston Coomer; 27 grandchildren and a great-granchild.
The body will be taken to Newnam Funeral Home at Beattyville, Ky., for funeral and burial.
