Robert Eugene Belland, 65, Bradenton, peacefully passed away on March 28, 2011. Born in San Francisco, California but raised in Flint, Michigan, he moved to Bradenton in 2009 from Long Island, New York. He graduated from St. John Vianney High School and Western Michigan University with a Master's Degree in Metallurgy. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Kirkland Air Force Base and then was discharged as a Captain. He worked in Texas, New Hampshire, and Long Island before retiring to Florida. He enjoyed playing golf, and was an avid sports fan. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Bradenton. He was predeceased by his father, Robert D. Belland. Survivors include mother, Wilma of Bradenton, FL; daughters, Stephanie Miller of Kingwood, TX, Heather (Ed) Myers of Denver, CO; granddaughter, Reese Myers; sister, Mary Jo (Duke) Grogan of Anderson, IN; brother, Dennis (Leigh) Belland of Rochester, MI.
