Peggy J. Wehrley, age 88, of Troy, OH passed away on September 3, 2022 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit.

Peggy was born on July 17, 1934 in Troy to the late William and Nina May (Schuman) Rife.

Peggy is survived by her children: Terri Grissom, Jeffery Wagner, Beth (Steve) Lamka, and Nina (Jeff) Price all of Troy; step daughter-in-law: Penny Wehrley of Troy; siblings: Barbara "Bobbie" Scherer; grandchildren: Megan Wieringa, Amanda Lucas, Leann Summers, Jeffery Wagner, Emily Powell, Brittany Haynes, Jordan Price, Chelsea Wagner, Paige Wagner, and Erik Lamka; step grandchildren: Eric Wehrley, Shelly Hurley, Amy Amburn, Matt Wagner and Amy Bach; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 8 step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husbands: Harold Lee Wagner and Robert E. Wehrley; stepsons: Gary, Thomas Wehrley and Dennis Wagner; brothers: Carl, Don, and Bill Rife; and sisters: Virginia Sharp, Vivian Robinson, and Alberta Pike.

Peggy was the Assistant Director of Housekeeping at Stouder Hospital in Troy. She was a member of Troy Church of the Brethren and Eagles. Peggy loved to collect dolls and an avid Trojan Fan and Volunteer. She loved gardening and spending time with her grandkids. Peggy never knew a stranger.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Bev Johnston, Shelley Penny and Joan Oen for their care of Peggy over the years.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Troy Church of the Brethren with Pastor Jon Keller officiating.

Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington.
