Karen Barnett Holden Loving Wife, Mother, & Grandmother On January 1, 2008 Karen Barnett Holden returned home to her Father in Heaven. She was born December 9, 1938 in Logan, Utah to William George Barnett and Helen Ross Barnett. She married Howard C. Holden March 8th, 1958, later solemnized in the Salt Lake City temple on April 21, 1971. She loved her family, and was very proud of them. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were very special to her. She held many jobs in the church, primary teacher for 18 years, secretary in primary, and worked in the ward library. She graduated from Olympus High School in 1957. She is survived by her husband of 49/50 years. Daughters Wendy Burkman (Scott), Leslie Jean (Hodson), Jessica Wilson, 13 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Sisters- Elaine Deason (Jim), Beverly Barnett. Brothers- Russell (Linda), Craig (Charlene). Preceded in death by her parents, sister Lorna Alldredge, son Bradley, daughters Lyla Williams, Holly Lynn Holden and granddaughter Amber Rhodes. Services will be held at the Hunter 29th Ward, 3745 S. 6400 W. at 12:00pm on Saturday January 5th 2008. A viewing will be at Redwood Memorial Mortuary 6500 S. Redwood Rd. from 6-8 pm on Friday January 4th 2008, and 10:30am-11:30am at the church prior to service. Internment, Elysian Gardens 1075 E. 4580 South. The family would like to give thanks to Vista care Hospice and to the many people that came to help us. We will miss you mom and grandma.
