Johannah Englert was born March 1847 in Edgefield County, South Carolina near Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia. She was the sister-in-law of George M. D. Riley and lived with his family in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia. Her younger sister was Eliza Englert Miller Riley. Her parents were from Germany. She died at age 57 on November 4, 1904 in Savannah and is buried in the Riley family plot in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Savannah. I hope one of her relatives will add her photo to this site.
