Roger was born August 19, 1944 in Buncombe County, a son of the late Hilliard and Selma Frisbee. He is survived by his sons, Tommy Frisbee and wife Susie, and Steven Frisbee and wife Kim; daughter, Teresa Frisbee Decker and husband "Ricky"; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and his brother, Donald Frisbee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Grace Surrett Frisbee who passed away in 2019; brothers, Carroll Frisbee, and Dwight Frisbee; sister, Sandra Frisbee Reeves; and step-sons, Jeff Green, and Phillip Green.
Mr. Frisbee was employed by the North Carolina Department of Transportation for many years and had also been employed with Appalachian Stove. Roger loved being outdoors among the mountains where he was born and raised– fishing, hunting, and camping were his favorite things to do. Roger Thomas Frisbee will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Little Sandy United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Pastor James Bryant officiating.
