Homer Elmo West, 84, of Fulton, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at University Hospital, Columbia, Mo. Homer was born on January 27, 1938, in Belle, Mo., the son of Thomas and Bertha (Blackwell) West, who preceded him death. On February 12, 2000, he was united in marriage in Fulton, Mo., to Joetta Jean Adair.

Homer was a member and worked for Union Local 662, Jefferson City, retiring after 43 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, barbecuing, playing poker and spending time with his family.

Survivors include: his wife, Joetta Jean West of the home; two sons, Donald Furlong (Connie) and Eddie Furlong (Cheryl); three daughters, Patsy Mackley (Bob), Debbie Harding and Linda Cunningham (Bob); 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and close friend and fishing buddy, Jim Fann.

He was also preceded in death by eight brothers, Roy, Alfred, Vernon, Harold, Delmar, Charles, Albert and Billy; five sisters, Edith, Helen, Irene, Donna and Linda; son-in-law, Tim Harding; and grandson, Loren Mackley and his wife, Jenn Mackley.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Debo Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will be held in Central Christian Church Cemetery, Fulton, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, c/o Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court St, Fulton, MO 65251.
