Sarah E. McCoy Eaton, 100, of Decatur died at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at Manor Care Health Services, Decatur.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home Chapel, Decatur. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the funeral at the chapel. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Traxler Cemetery, rural Newton. Memorials are suggested to Manor Care Health Care Services, Decatur, or West Decatur Church of God.

Sarah was born July 29, 1907, in Jasper County, the daughter of Jasper Newton and Eva (Oakes) Bailey. She married Carlen McCoy in 1925 and he preceded her in death in 1934. She married Carl "Bud" Eaton in 1957 and he preceded her in death in 1996.

She worked at Osgood Dress Factory, was a park leader at Torrence and Southside parks, and retired from St. Mary's Hospital Laboratory, all of Decatur.

Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Josserand and husband Joe of Forsyth; stepchildren, Dean and Rose Eaton; sisters, Zola Funderbirk, Doris Reynolds and Delores Murphy, all of Decatur; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one daughter, one sister, four brothers, one grandson and one great-grandson.
