Zola Marie Mounts Funderburk, 97, of Decatur died at 4:20 a.m., Friday, September 26, 2014, in Heartland Care Center. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Zola was born April 17, 1917 in Prescott, Arkansas, daughter of Jasper and Eva Oaks Bailey. In her youth she worked for Hi Flier Kite Factory. She retired from Newman’s Clothing Store of Decatur. She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #684, The Red Hat Club and The Salvation Army. She married Thomas J. Mounts Sr. on March 9, 1940 and he preceded her in death in January 24, 1959. She married Elmer “Mike” Funderburk, April 22, 1965 who also preceded her in death on August 15,1976.
Surviving are her son and a granddaughter; 2 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; 4 step-children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, siblings Sarah Eaton, Pearl Bailey, Dean Bailey, Blanche Johnson, half sisters Doris Reynolds and Delores Murphy.
