Benson Lyons, 71, of Binnewater died in Kingston early Saturday morning following a long illness. He was born in East Kingston, a son of the late Justus and Addie Palen Lyons and had spent most of his lifetime in Binnewater.
He was a retired employee of the Ulster County Highway Dept. and a member of the Binnewater Fire Co.
Surviving are his wife, the former Beatrice Terwilliger, a daughter, Mrs. Helen Dietz, a
son, Malcolm Lyons, all of Binnewater. Also surviving are three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home, Main Street, Rosendale,
Tuesday at 2 p. m. The Rev. Sylvester Van Oort. pastor of the Rosendale Reformed Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Rosendale Plains Cemetery. Friends may call today, 2-4 and 7-9 p. m.
