Helen Beatrice Skelton, 66

CHURCH HILL - Helen Beatrice Skelton, 66, of 130 Grandview Street, passed away Monday (August 12, 2002) at Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center following an extended illness.

Miss. Skelton was a native of Gate City, Virginia but had spent most of her adult life in Church Hill and was a retired employee of St. Riches Envelope Company. She was a member of The Upper Room Fellowship Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Alexander, Sr., and Martha Jones Skelton, two sisters, Jeanette Downs and Opal Bishop, two brothers, John Robert Skelton, William Skelton and Hugh Skelton, Jr.

She is survived by two sisters, Pauline Christian, Church Hill; Cora Mae Williams, Kingsport; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel and anytime at the home of her sister, Pauline Christian, 130 Comanche Way, Church Hill.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ron Cassidy officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Church Hill Memory Gardens.
