Evah was the daughter of Silas Marion and Ursula Belle Norfleet Conner. She married Edward Buell Gray on January 8, 1913 in Sand Creek, Coke County, Texas. Evah, nicknamed Nig, and Ed had six children, Floyd Earle 1913-1972, Ruthelle (Wiggins), Ava Sue (Keevert) 1918-2006, Glenn E., Leonard, and Leatrice (Nixon).
