From Eagle Democrat, Warren, AR Dated May 31, 1962: Everette Beasley, who has completed 20 years as Fire Chief of Warren, will be honored with an open house at the fire department Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. The Warren man has been a fireman for over 25 years, and has never missed a fire because of illness. Beasley was appointed Fire Chief in 1942 to replace LeRoy Smith who had resigned. He had been a fireman since September of 1936. A native of Bradley County, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Beasley of the Sumpter Community. He graduated from Warren High School where he was a four year football letterman. He is the first fireman of a volunteer department in Arkansas who has served 29 years as chief. Beasley has attended two fire schools a year for the past 14 years, and served as president of the Arkansas State Fireman's Association last year. He is a charter member of the State fire chief's association and of the Southeast District Fireman's Association. Beasley is a Presbyterian, a Mason and is past patron of the Eastern Star here. The Fire Chief and his wife live in an apartment in the City Hall and have one son, Nap Beasley.
