Emery John Larock (1893-1921) served in both the United States Army, 13th Cavalry, in 1913 and with the Canadian Corps under the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 69th Battalion, 23rd Reserve Battalion, and eventually the 19th Battalion, A Company from 1915 to April of 1919.

Record of Service:
1915 20 Aug, Enlisted in the CEF in Montreal, Quebec (69th Overseas Battalion).
1916 26 Apr, Arrived in England.
1916 28 May, Transferred to 19th Battalion, CEF.
1917 11 May, Entered hospital for treatment of trench fever. He was treated throughout at the Number 3 Canadian General Hospital in Boulogne, France, the Canadian Red Cross Special Hospital in Buxton, England, the Canadian General Hospital, Moore Barracks, Shorncliffe, England, and at Wellcote Park, Epsom, England.
1918 29 Oct, Returned to the 19th Battalion in France.
1919 14 Apr, Transferred to "O" Wing for demobilization, suffering from bronchitis contracted in Germany in Jan 1919
1919, 25 Jun, Sailed for Canada onboard the SS CARONIA.
1919, 4 Jul, Discharged from the CEF in London, Ontario, Canada.

He died of pulmonary tuberculosis after suffering from bronchitis and trench fever from the World War. Like my uncle Dale, God touched him and he slept.

He was survived by his wife Edna Hines Larock of Woodstock, McHenry County, Illinois, his father and mother Louis and Mary Huard Larocque of Barton, Vermont, and his brothers and sisters Eva, Anna, Mary, Henry, Lena, Malvina Ida, Clara, Mabel, Donald, Merrill, and Clayton.
