Son of John William and Lela (Smith) Beam. He married Glenda Hosek on December 23, 1976 in Glen Rose. He was a mechanical engineer and contractor for Derrett Creek Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mauveline Drain, Doris Hammond, and Daphene Messer; brother, Manuel Beam; and daughter, LenAnne Kinney. Surviving are his wife, Glenda Beam; four children, Codi Wiener and husband, Matt, John Beam and wife, Megan, Sonya Jackson, and Jeff Fox and wife, Paula; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
