Rex Thomas Price

Rex Thomas Price passed away Sunday August 21 2022. He was born June 1, 1929, the youngest son of John Price and Luannie Henson Price. He attended school in Lehi and graduated from Lehi High School with the class of 1947.
Rex served a proselytizing mission for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northwestern States from 1949 to 1951. He also served in the United States Army for two years during the Korean Conflict.
Rex married his sweetheart, Mary Colleen Varney, on June 22, 1955, in the Salt Lake Temple. Nine children were born into this eternal union; five daughters: Jann, Collette, LeAnne, Andrea, Elizabeth, and four sons: Robert, Mark, Eric, and Nathan.
Rex and Mary served three missions together: Lehi West Stake Mission, Ohio Cleveland Church History Mission at the John Johnson Home-Newell K. Whitney store, and Nauvoo Temple Mission. They loved serving as temple workers in the Provo Utah Temple and the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple.
Rex worked with his brothers at Price brothers IGA market and Super Quality market with his son, Mark.
Rex is survived by his wife, Mary; eight children, 34 grandchildren, and 53 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Norma, Helen, Bill, Lee, Dean, Ralph, and Karl. Also, son, Mark; and four grandchildren: Venecsa Cook Gasaway, Benjamin Price, Lance and Layne Lloyd.
