David was born in Smyth County, VA on September 23, 1950.
David is preceded in death by his parents Gerald & Beulah Hawthorne Wolfe; brother John Robert "Bob" Wolfe; sister Geraldine Crusenberry; special aunt Belle Hawthorne; daughter-in-law Rachel Wolfe; and a close friend he considered as another brother Jim Sadler.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife Lois Wolfe; son David Wolfe, Jr.; daughters Misty Lester & husband Ricky, Melissa Wyatt & husband Fred, and Mindy Woodward & husband Lynn; grandchildren Hannah Berry, Eric Woodward, Austin Wyatt, Ericka Lester, Dustin Woodward, Avery Woodward, Lexi Wolfe, & Beau Wolfe; great-grandson Brentley Croson; a "bonus" daughter Kristie Hamm Cannon; several nieces, nephews, and his Adwolfe Fire Dept. Family.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from the Bradley's Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie with Pastor Frank Branson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday evening. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at St. James Church Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 AM for the procession to the cemetery. Bradley's Funeral Chapel of Chilhowie is serving the Wolfe Family.
