Her father was Ignatii "Hnat" Dzubinski (1860 - circa 1935).

Understood to have been born in the town of Jabłonów. Unlike as reported in her obituary, she left there to come to Canada in 1902 with her parents and most of her siblings aboard the SS Bulgaria, leaving via Hamburg, Germany, and arriving in Halifax, NS, eleven days later on June 19. The family settled on a homestead near what is now Wroxton, SK (SW-16-26-32-1W [51.229990, -101.884622]).

She married Anton Bach on November 10, in the St Gerard's RC Church in Yorkton, SK. The family moved to Brandon, MB, shortly afterward, returning to the Wroxton area again for a short time. They then settled permanently in Brandon in about 1912, where they then raised their family of seven (known) children.

Variants of the transliteration of her maiden name in the available records (believed to have been originally Dziubiński) were many. They included, but were not limited to Dziubinski, Djiubinski, Dzibinski, and Dzinbinstu.
