He was born on October 30, 1943, in Surry County, North Carolina to the late William Graves Norman and the late Elma Hopkins Norman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Norman.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 58 years, JoAnn Norman; sons, Todd Norman (Kym) and Greg Norman; four grandchildren, Samantha M. Norman, Taylor N. Norman, Bryson K. Norman, and Ragan L. Norman; brother, Larry Norman (Joan) and two sisters, Carolyn Huie (Rick) and Kathy Norman Arrington.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. The Funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Jason Alverson and Rev. Jeff Evans officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Fieldale Volunteer Fire Department, P O Box 352, Fieldale, VA. 24089.
