Claude Clayton Barrett age 83 of the Vine Community, died Friday morning, Aug. 12, 2022 at his residence, Born March 29, 1939 in Scottsville, AL, he was the son of the late Dave and Katie Comer Barrett and was preceded in death by 7 brothers and a sister.

Claude was a retired brick layer and loved wood working of all types.

He was a member of the Vine Church of Christ. Claude is survived by his wife of 61 years, Geneva Barrett; children, Ricky (Cathy) Barrett and Sandi (Tommy) Morgan; 2 brothers, 5 sisters, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his church family. Family and friends will gather at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022 at Jennings Cemetery in Statesville for graveside services with Bro. Randy Ward officiating and Sonia and Tonia singing.

Pallbearers; Brian Ring, Joseph Ward, Matthew Ward, Jimmy Tarpley, Bryant Tarpley, Dewayne Steele and James Walthorn.
