A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Irene B. Mouton, age 82, who died at 8:35 PM on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at her residence in Carencro.

Interment will be in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery.

Reverend Chester Arceneaux, Pastor of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist will conduct the funeral services, assisted by Deacon George Jourdan. Lectors will be Paulette Langlinais and C.J. Langlinais. Gift bearers will be her great grandchildren. Paulette Langlinais will sing "Amazing Grace".

Survivors include a daughter, Debra Mouton and her husband Ronnie; one son, Charles Langlinais and his wife Paulette; two step sons, Presley J. Mouton Jr. and Ronald Mouton; five grandchildren, Christine Broussard, Roy "Rocky" Broussard, Mary Sam, C. J. Langlinais and John Mouton; her great grandchildren, Grace Gondran, Jesiah Sam, Zion Sam, Briley Vitz, Noah Broussard, Trevor Langlinais, Austin Langlinais, Isabella Broussard, Johnathan Barnes, Nila Mouton, John Mouton Jr., Heaven Mouton, Grace Mouton and Johnea Mouton; two sisters, Lucille Venable and Therese Higginbotham and one brother, George Broussard and his wife Lavada and a sister in law, Helen Broussard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elie Broussard and the former, Jeanne Annette Ledet; her first husband, John Roy "Rocky" Langlinais; second husband, Presley John Mouton; one sister, Anne Broussard Breaux; four brothers, Issac, Leonard, Otis, and Paul Broussard.

Mrs. Mouton was born on January 28, 1933 in Vermilion Parish and was a resident of Carencro, Louisiana. She loved cooking and took great pleasure in doing whatever it took to keep up her home.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be prayed Saturday at 10:00 AM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home by Deacon George Jourdan.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Hospice of Acadiana for their patience and guidance through this time of uncertainty.
