Nancy J. (Twombly) Brown, 71, of Manchester, NH, died Thursday, September 7, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH after a long battle with cancer.
Mrs. Brown was born in Northfield, Vermont. She was raised in Northfield and graduated from Northfield High School.
In 1954, she married and is survived by her husband of almost 52 years, James H. Brown of Manchester, NH, a native of Andover, MA.
Her family said that she will be remembered as a "saver of lost people"; one who took in people sent her way. She was a gentle lady who always held out a helping hand to those in need.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children: Harrison, Karen, James, Stephen; grandchildren; four sisters Georgiana Vincent, Christine Ryan, Barbara Verdi, and Luella Barbour, all of Vermont, and two brothers, Kenneth Twombly of Connecticut and Oliver Twombly of Vermont, plus many nieces and nephews.
