Joseph H. Butler, 92, of Clearfield, died Wednesday, Feb. 14 , 2007, at Clearfield Hospital, Clearfield. Born April 10, 1914, in Clearfield, he was the son of the late Joseph M. and Stella Luzier Butler. His wife, the former Olga Crestani Butler, preceded him in death Jan. 12, 2003. Mr. Butler was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellefonte. He had served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a 1933 graduate of Clearfield High School and was on the track team. He also enjoyed boxing at the Clearfield YMCA. He was the owner of Bald Eagle Motors, and a Gentleman Farmer. He was a member of F.&A.M. Lodge of Binghamton, N.Y., St. Marks-Philetus Lodge #1001, of Vestal, N.Y., Williamsport Consistory, Jaffa Shrine in Altoona, Centre Forest #129, of State College, Bellefonte American Legion Post #33, Bellefonte V.F.W., Bellefonte Elks, Undine Fire Co. # 1, I.O.O.F. Lodge, of Bellefonte, and Clearfield Moose Lodge #097. Surviving are three sisters, Flo B. Conaway, of Clearfield, Glee Norman, of Glen Richey, and Margaret Respet, of Salix. Services will be at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg, where Military Honors will be accorded, on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dr. Joseph Faulkner officiating. Burial at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg.
