VETERAN

I died this week. I would like to hope it would have been from something exciting, but when it's my time, I guess I have no say in it. I had a good life, and I hope that wherever God sends me, I will be with people I know and that make me smile.

I had wonderful parents, Vee and Dora Cook Norton. I was born to them on November 11, 1947, in Panguitch, Utah. They tried to raise me well and to teach me good principles. And sometimes I listened!

I have seven wonderful children. I am so proud of them. I hope by now they have figured life out and will enjoy it to its fullest. I will always be with you one way or the other. I love you all and will watch over you the best I am able. When you feel that breeze on your neck or that feeling that someone is watching, I will be there. Embrace those moments.

I was preceded in death by my son, Chad Christian Norton. I am survived by my children Lisa (David) Anderson, Pamela (Ian) Allison, Amy (Jonathan) Brown, Andy (Kendra) Norton, Matthew (Beth) Norton, Noah (Shawna) Norton, 24 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and my sister, Neidra (Jim) Crisp.

After this nonsense is over, go home, love your families, and create some good memories that will last forever.

A memorial service will be held in the Berg Mortuary Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at the mortuary that morning from 10:30 until 11:00. Interment will follow in the Provo City Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #72 Honor Guard.
