Leroy was survived by his sisters: MaryAnn Chavez (husband Nicholas), Cynthia Torrez (husband Jesus) all of Kremmling, Colorado; Isabel Lopez (husband Jesus) of Ranchos de Taos and Nancy Gutierrez of Santa Cruz; brother Phillip Salazar of Ranchitos; 3 nieces; 6 nephews and numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial mass was on March 16 at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan (Ohkay Owengeh). Burial of his cremains followed at the Alcalde Catholic Cemetery.
