OBIT: Herbert Rock of Chestnut street died at St Elizabeth hospital shortly after 11 o'clock this morning from typhoid pneumonia. He had been sick two weeks and was taken to the hospital a week ago. He was born in this city about twenty six years ago and was a son of the late Amos Rock. Mr. Rock was a teamster and was an honest and industrious citizen. All his life had been spent in Lafayette and he had many friends. Besides the widow he leaves two children. He is also survived by a mother, Mrs. Emma Rock, six brothers and two sisters. The body was taken to the Evans parlors to be prepared for burial.
