OBIT: Death came very suddenly to Mrs. Emma Rock at her home, 107 Washington Street at 5:30 o'clock in the morning. She retired apparently in the best of health last night and this morning while preparing breakfast for her son, she fell to the floor of the kitchen of her home and died in a few minutes. Her death is attributed to heart trouble. Coroner Earl Van Reed viewed the remains. The body was prepared for burial at the Soller-Harrington parlors. Mrs. Rock was the widow of the late Amos Rock and was born in Richmond, Indiana, May 12, 1861. She had been a resident of Lafayette for many years and was a estimable woman. She was a member of the Christian church, was a devoted mother and a kind neighbor. She is survived by the following children: Robert, Frank, Charles, Orville, Harry, Jessie, Merrell and Mrs. Paul Chitzke[sp] [Klutzke]. She also leaves one brother Elmer Sellers. The body was removed to the family residence this afternoon and the funeral will be held from the home at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
