NOTE: Frederick and Rudolph Menadier both enlisted into the 41st N.Y. Inf. on 6/6/1861. Though the initials on the gravestone are not correct, it is known that only Rudolph served with Co. "K" as per the stone. Mr. Menadier enlisted at 31 years old on 6/6/1861 at N.Y.C.. He was mustered in on 6/6/1861 as a 2nd Lieutenant. In it's service the 41st saw action at Cross Keys, Va. 6/8/1862, Groveton 8/29, 2nd Bull Run 8/30, Chancellorsville, 5/1--3/1863, Gettysburg, Pa., 7/1--3/1863, and Cedar Creek 10/19/1864. He was discharged on 2/1/1863.
