Rodney Lee Miller Sr., age 69, of Belott, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at his home. Rod was born November 10, 1952 in Billings, Montana to parents, Gary Walcott and Zelda Ann Hungate Walcott. He was a veteran of the United States during the Vietnam Era. Rod worked as a small engine mechanic on boats and ATVs and loved motorcycles. He was a family man, was a basketball and football fan, loved gospel and country music and enjoyed dancing. Rod was a member of the New Energy Church where he served as a deacon and song director.


Rod is survived by his wife, Charlotte Hammons Miller of Belott; mother, Ann Conley of Belott; son, Rodney Miller and wife, Sharon of Panama City, Florida; daughter, Heather Ordner and husband, Brian of Crockett; son-in-law, Adam Williford of Onalaska; grandchildren, Bridgett Tanner and husband, Travis of Coco Beach, Florida, Sean Ordner of Rock Ledge, Florida, Veronica Miller of Panama City, Florida, R. J. Miller of Panama City, Florida, Trey Williford of California; great-grandchildren, Elias and Adrianna Rivera, Brantly and Weston Tanner; brothers, Randy Miller of Crockett, Bobby Miller of Colorado, William Miller of Colorado, Ray Miller and wife, Dawn of Dallas, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Butch Hammons and wife, Ruth of Mississippi; Juanette Wallace and husband, Vern of Spring, Meda Barker and husband, James of Conroe; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.


He was preceded in death by wife of 39 years, Barbara Miller; father, Gary Walcott; granddaughter, Sandra Moody; father-in-law, James "Preacher" Hammons; mother-in-law, Lois Hammons; step-children, Melissa Williford and Chris Tims; brother-in-law, Terry Hammons.


Funeral services for Rodney Lee "Rod" Miller Sr. will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bobbitt Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
