Ada Bethene Alexander was born on July 10, 1933 at home in rural Madison, the daughter of Edward "Ned" Arthur and Ruth (Abbey) Alexander. She graduated Madison High School in 1950 and graduated nursing school in Emporia in 1971.
She was joined in marriage to Leo Lewis Lord on October 10, 1952 in Madison. To this union four children were born, Becky, Jeanette, Alesia and Eric.
Bethene lived her entire life in Madison. She had retired after 25 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She accepted Christ as her savior at the age of 14 and became a part of the Kingdom of God.
Bethene will be forever remembered by her three daughters, Becky (Tony) Shearburn of Columbus, Kansas, Jeanette (Larry) Lawrence of Monument, Colorado and Alesia (Dale) Barb of Hamilton; a son, Eric Lord of Madison; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leo.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Sauder Community Building in Madison. Family will receive friends an hour before service.
