Thomas Jefferson Bell was killed in Hollywood, Virginia in the War Between the States. This information was stated the 23 March 1863 affidavit prepared for his widow, Emily V Bell. He was buried there; and at first he and others in that cemetery, were given wooden head markers. After the war they were replaced with stone numbered row markers. I believe memorial 242237564 in Andrews Chapel Cemetery is a cenotaph.
