Louise Payne Boothe
CHINA GROVE - Louise Virginia Bost Payne Boothe, 85, of China Grove, went to be with her Lord Friday evening, June 26, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast, following a period of declining health.
Born Dec. 2, 1923, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Elliott W. and Minnie Alice Barnhardt Bost.
A 1941 graduate of Landis High, Mrs. Boothe retired from Cannon Mills after more than 40 years of service and had been an area florist for many years, specializing in wedding and alter flower vases.

A life time member of Concordia Lutheran Church, she was active with the Senior Citizens Sunday. Mrs. Boothe enjoyed gardening, ceramics, cooking, canning, was a talented seamstress and loved her antique porcelain dolls and her Chihuahua dogs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Payne in 1960; her second husband, Rollie Boothe in 2006; brothers, Carl, Ralph and Clarence Bost; and sister, Viola Bost Anderson.
Those left to cherish her memories include her "long lost son", Larry Macy; three nephews, Larry Bost, Junior Anderson and Clement Bost; and her niece, Geraldine Wood.

Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Monday, June 29 at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove.
Service and Burial: Monday at 11 a.m. in the Northcrest Chapel of Linn-Honeycutt, conducted by Rev. Ken Reed and Rev. Dr. Larry Bost. Entombment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.
