Obituary - At her home, seven miles south of Eudora, December 21, 1891, Mrs. Hannah J. Nowlin, wife of Hiram Nowlin, at the age of sixty years. Her husband and five children survive her. The above brief notice will convey to the friends of the departed the intelligence of a worthy and well spent life gone out. Mrs. Nowlin has lived for many years among us. She was a loving wife and kind mother, and a neighbor loved and respected by all. All her children were present. The disease which caused her death was cancer of the stomach, of which she had been a long, but patient sufferer. The sorrowing and grief stricken husband and children have the undivided sympathy of their score of friends in their bereavement.
Also - Mrs. Nowlin, whose illness was reported last week, departed this life Monday, the 21st inst., at the age of 61 years, and ten months. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, at Prairie Center at the M.E. church, of which she had long been a consistent member. She leaves a husband, three daughters and two sons, to hold sacred the memory of wife and mother.
