W. W. Bland, Former Marshall Citizen Died Last Night
Mr. W. W. Bland, of Pineland, Texas, and formerly of Marshall, died last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. W. Cowan, in Marshall. Mr. Bland was 68 years old and was born at San Augustine, Texas, moving to Marshall about 30 years ago and raising a family here, and later moving to Pineland, Texas. He had been in ill health for some time undergoing an operation at the Kahn Memorial Hospital in January and never fully recovering. Funeral services will be held Friday morning, the hour, awaiting the arrival of relatives, will be announced later."
