James was the son of Walter King and Zella Martha Shepherd Akers Davidson, husband of Mary Antoinette Burton Akers, Hannah M. Bruner Akers and Thelma Akers. He married Mary Antoinette Burton on June 7, 1919 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Their children were James and Martha. He later married Hannah M. Bruner in Jackson County, Missouri. Paternal grandparents were James R. Akers and Malinda M. Cooper. His siblings were Marvin Walter, Melvin, Florence, Mamie and Jewell. Paternal Grandparents were James R. Akers and Malinda M. Cooper.

Cremation And Burial Per The California Death Certificate. James's ashes were returned to Utter-McKinley Mortuary for transport to Cravens Cemetery in Orrick, MO. James Is Not Buried At Angelus Rosedale Cemetery In California.
