A well known resident of Warsaw died of apoplexy with which he was stricken on Sunday. Born in New York City, son of Daniel & Caroline Travis Spencer and lived in Warsaw the past 40 years. He married in 1868 to Miss Anna C. Cook of Albion. Two sons Frank A. and Will J. Spencer both of Warsaw survive, also 1 brother, Wm. B. Spencer of Orchard, Neb. and 1 sister Mrs. Alonzo Spencer of Moberly, MO.
Veteran of Civil War having served throughout in Co. C., NY Heavy Artillery. He had been Chaplin of Gibbs Post GAR of Warsaw for several years. Member of Methodist Church during all 40 years of his residence in Warsaw.
