Mary Virginia Lilley, 77, of Lexington, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Born November 19, 1921 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur F. and Delia Clark and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Edward Lilley and one daughter, Barbara Gail Sawyer.
Surviving are her children; Connie Mamon of Lexington, Thomas E. Lilley of Dale City, Donnie R. Lilley, Sr. of Bedford, Toby Lilley of Buena Vista, and Edna Sue Walker of Alexandria. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Jon Mamon, Chris Mamon, Christopher Lee Lilley, Carrie Lee Perkins, Loretta Craig, Jacqueline Lilley, Donnie Lilley, Jr., Tiffany Lilley, Jeffry Lilley, Christina Lilley, Susan L. Walker, Hope Lilley, and Shelley M. Sawyer; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Chester Clark of Buena Vista; and a sister, Mildred Hartless of Garden Grove, Calif.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 1999 at Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
