Mr. Wallace was born on August 21, 1927 in Woodland, the son of the Paul and Elva (English) Wallace.
On February 11, 1948 he wed the former Vivian 'Shine' Wisor in the Dimeling Hotel, Clearfield, PA.
Mr. Wallace retired as a coalminer from Lady Jane Colliers. He attended Home Camp United Methodist Church, Rockton and Lake Street United Methodist Church, Woodland. He really enjoyed spending time with his siblings and taking his sister out to lunch each week. He was a member of Dad's Horseshoe Club in DuBois for over 20 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl LaBorde and her husband, Carl of Rockton, one grandson, Jeffrey LaBorde and his wife, Kara and their son, Trevor of Syracuse, NY. Mr. Wallace is also survived by one sister, Frances Maines and one brother, Russell Wallace, both of Woodland, RD and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Vivian, and six brothers, Wilbur, Burton, Frank, Ardell, James, and Walter.
Friends will be received at The Bennett & Houser Funeral Home, Inc., located at 312 E. Locust St., Clearfield, PA on Thursday, July 21 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Rev. Richard Howe officiating. Interment will be in the Dales Cemetery, Shiloh.
