Carol Elliott Brown Wyatt, 77, of Henderson, NC, died Sunday, July 17, 2022, in Duke Regional Hospital, Durham.
Mrs. Wyatt was born in Suffolk, Virginia on May 25, 1945, and was raised in Gates County by her parents, the late William Emmett Brown, Sr., and Helen Chaney Brown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Chaney Brown Jordan; and her brother, William E. "Bill" Brown, Jr.
Carol married her high school sweetheart, Jim Kiezel Wyatt, Jr., who preceded her in death on July 4, 2020, after 54 years of marriage.
Left to cherish her memories are her two sons, Jim Kiezel Wyatt, III and wife, Stephanie, of Cary, and William Mitchell Wyatt and wife, Elizabeth, of Henderson; and three grandchildren, Tyler Gibson Wyatt, Lindsey Sheridan Wyatt, and Camden Elizabeth Wyatt.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, July 23rd, at 11:00 a.m. in The First Baptist Church of Henderson, 205 West Winder Street, and will be conducted by the pastor, The Rev. Dr. Ron Cava. The burial will follow later that afternoon at 5:00 p.m. when she will be placed at rest with her husband on the family plot in the Gatesville Cemetery at the corner of High and Court Streets. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The First Baptist Church, 205 West Winder Street, PO Box 75, Henderson, North Carolina, 27536. Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
