Born to Dr. Leo F. and Gertrude Gitter Klein in Fredericksburg, Tx, Mary Ann was a devout and loving woman.
She attended St Mary's Catholic School in Fredericksburg, graduating in 1959. Mary Ann earned a scholarship to Our Lady of the Lake University and graduated in 1963 with a bachelor's degree in piano. She taught in Houston where she met and later married Phil F. Murchison in the St. Mary's Catholic Church. They had four sons.
The family moved to Fredericksburg where Mary Ann was immediately asked to become the organist at St. Mary's. She also taught religion and music at St. Mary's School. She was the beloved organist for over 52 years before semi-retiring, sharing her musical ministry at countless masses, funerals, weddings, and even most special ordinations of hometown priests.

Mrs. Murchison is survived by two sons and spouses: Bear and Stacey Murchison; Andy and Joan Murchison.
Two grandchildren: William Murchison and Abigail Murchison

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons: Anthony H. "Foonie" Murchison and William R. Murchison, Brother: Michael Klein
