Marceline "Marcie" M. Inman passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the age of 95. Marcie was born on November 9, 1926 in Tampa, Florida. She graduated from Clay High School in South Bend, IN, and married Virgil W. Inman on October 24, 1944.

Marcie loved to give back by volunteering at church, donating quilts to the hospital, teaching Sunday school at a girls' detention center, and teaching people to sew. She opened her home to two girls from the detention center for several months until they turned 18. She made beautiful quilts and a variety of crafts. She enjoyed birdwatching, traveling, reading, taking pictures, driving her son-in-law's Mustang, gardening, and canning. She loved to bake cookies, make fudge, color Easter eggs, and wrap presents. She loved to laugh and enjoy life.

Marcie read the Bible, read printed/digital books, and especially enjoyed reading her husband's journals. She kept old letters, photos, documents, enough fabric to fill a closet, boxes of things to make crafts, numerous quilts, dolls, and anything she thought she could use again. She loved making crafts and would try making any craft she saw. Marcie was great a following instructions from patterns, whether printed or online. She still followed her daughter and grandkids on FaceBook to her last days on Earth.

Marcie was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in South Bend, as well as the South Bend Audubon Society and several quilting guilds.

Marcie was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Inman; daughter, Cathy Camplin; son, David Inman; sisters, Juanita, Georgia, and Eldean; and two great-granddaughters, Alexa Sheets and Victoria Sheets—all of whom will welcome her home.

Her daughter, Cindy Carlton, will miss her, as will her grandchildren, Troy Camplin, Todd Camplin, Jami Granados, Amy Sheets, and David Inman; great-grandchildren, Adonnika West, Acacia West, Alyjah West, Cielo Granados, Uzziah Granados, Gaby Sheets, Taylor Sheets, Cory Metcalfe, Brock Inman, Tanner Matlock, Melina Camplin, Dylan Camplin, Daniel Camplin, Sarah Camplin, and Benjamin Camplin; numerous step-great-grandchildren; sister, Mercedes Frank; daughter-in-law, Nancy Inman; and sons-in-law, Emmett Camplin and Jim Carlton.
