Wade F. Allen, 83, of Camden, died Monday, May 31, at his home. Born Aug. 10, 1915, in Liberty, Ky., he was the son of Joseph and Ann (Peck) Allen. He attended Scott's Chapel School. He retired from Hamilton Tool in 1978 after 15 years of service as a master electrician, and was then the self-employed owner of Allen Electric Company. Mr. Allen was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Camden. On Sept. 17, 1938, he married Martha McFarland in Liberty, Ky.He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mary Allen; two brothers, Worth and Carl Allen; and a sister, Lela Johnson.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Martha Allen; children, Marge (Willard) Cottingim of Calhoun, Ga., Hazel (Stan) Andrew of Palm Harbor, Fla., Carol (Lee) Montooth of Eaton, Teresa (Steve) Hughes of Liberty, Ind., Leisa (Mike) Kloss of Eau Claire, Wis., Frank Allen of Camden, Ronnie (Donna) Allen of Goldsboro, N.C., Gary (Carol) Allen, Jerry (Linda) Allen, Rudy (Carolyn) Allen, all of Hamilton.; 39 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday, June 3, at the First Southern Baptist Church, Camden, with the Rev. Greg Jackson officiating. Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden. R.C. Nein & Sons-Thompson Funeral Home, Camden, was in charge of arrangements.
