Mrs. Margaret E. ''Peg'' BellesLeppert, 83, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at the home of her daughter. She was the wife of William E. Belles, who preceded her in death on January 13, 1974, and Forrest Leppert, who died June 5, 1992.
Mrs. Belles-Leppert was born in East St. Clair Township on Sunday, March 9, 1924, the daughter of the late Dwight and Marie (Vaughn) Bender.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Alum Bank United Methodist Church and The Order of the Eastern Star, Bedford Springs Chapter No. 41.
Surviving are her daughter, Donna V., widow of Richard Vinsky of Red Lion; sister, Delores Bender of Grafton, W.Va.; brother, G. Ronnie Bender of Trinity, Texas; sister, Jennie Lingenfelter of Brandon, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Brenda Belles of New Paris; three granddaughters, Georgia Beliech, Donna Belles, and Jennifer Smith; five stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, William E. Belles, Jr. on September 4, 2003; three brothers, Elmer, Sylvester ''Manny'', and David Bender; and three sisters, Carrie Sheaffer, Effie Poland, and infant, Thelma.
Interment will be at Horne Church Cemetery, Alum Bank.
