Donald F. Myers, 79, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Saratoga Hospital.

Born May 27, 1943 in Saratoga Springs, NY, he was the son of the late John and Nina (Rogers) Myers.

Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Upon his return home, he continued to work with the Veterans Administration for 43 years to try to help other Vietnam vets with health problems due to the war.

He also served with the Adirondack Chapter 79, Vietnam Veterans of America for 15 years and was captain of their Color Guard for 5 years.

Don was employed at General Electric and served in many capacities throughout the mill.

He loved to hunt and fish, travel all over, and especially shoot pool. He was a member of several local pool leagues where he made many friends over the years.

In addition to his parents, Don is predeceased by his brother Jack Myers, and his brother-in-law John Crosse.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister Faith Crosse, his nieces; Tracy Lee Lovett (Rob Pronto), Tricia Ann Crosse-Guy (Micki), Faith Ann Crosse, and Katey Ann Crosse, his great-nieces, and great-nephews; Tylor, Katelynn, Zoey, and Tristan, as well as his family of 50 years including Steven Harrington (Beverly), Dorothy Belair, Butch Archambault, April Archambault, Eugenia Archambault, Pat Durham, and Harold Hazzard.

A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY.
