Thomas "Tommy" Nelson White, 74, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, died at his residence in Rocky Mount, Thursday, July 07, 2022.
Tommy was born in Wytheville, VA, on September 15, 1947, son of the late Canada and Mary Surratt White.
He was a proud Vietnam veteran having served with the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne White and Dean White, also preceding him in death were several in-laws.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Teresa Shadrick White of the home; daughter, Robin White Williams, and husband, Shawn, of Apex; brothers, Buford White (wife, Joyce), Rush White, both of Roanoke Rapids; Bruce White (wife, Catherine), of Greenville, NC; sister, Norma White Wright of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Foster Evan Williams, and Cohen Davis Williams; and an extensive listing of cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Pastor Charles Taylor will conduct a service to remember Tommy's life Saturday, July 16, 2022, beginning at 2:00 pm at Wrenn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends, also at the funeral home beginning at 1 pm until service time. Burial of the urn will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids with military honors.
