Peter James Fleming
January 4, 1935 ~ January 21, 2019

On January 21, 2019 this world lost a dear, gentle soul. Born the 10th of ten children on St. Paul's West Side, Pete's Irish wit and love of music were his birthright.

After faithfully serving many years as a priest he met and married Carole Murnane, the love of his life.

Their family grew to include Jerry (Pam), Ken (Lisa) and Michelle (Aaron) and grandchildren Alexis, Olivia, Tristan, Zach and Grace.

They, Carole, his sister Pat Barry, and a host of nieces, nephews and their descendants survive him.

A Twins and Vikings fan, Pete played the guitar, sang, charmed and tap danced his way into the hearts of everyone who crossed his path. He and Carole volunteered regularly at Peace House, sharing their time with people experiencing homelessness.

In his later years Pete expressed his desire to continue to "walk with God;" he did and he is. He will be sorely missed.

Funeral at Lumen Christi Catholic Community, 2055 Bohland Ave, St Paul, January 28, at 10:00AM, visitation beginning at 9AM. Memorials preferred to Peace House at www.peacehousecommunity.org.
