Mrs. Bowman was born on January 10, 1939, in Danville to the late Garnett Odell Dodson and the late Garland Susie Haynes Dodson.
Mrs. Bowman was first married to Terry Lee Wilmarth, the father of her two children.
She was later married to David Lee Bowman who predeceased her on December 5, 1994.
In addition to her parents and husband, David, she was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Patricia Tyler Wilmarth, and her grandson, Conner Scott Wietfeldt.
Left to cherish her memories are her children and their spouses, Philip James Wilmarth (wife Kathryn) and Ashley Anne Wilmarth Wielfeldt (husband Jonathan), Danville; her step-daughter, Susan Bowman Moor (husband Mark), Deland, FL, two grandchildren, Tyler James Wietfeldt and Sydney Nicholle Wietfeldt, Danville, and four step-grandchildren Alexander Brandon, Austin Brandon (Taylor Brandon), Danville, David James Moor and Jamie Marie Moor, of Florida, and a number of cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Highland Burial Park with Pastor Hershel Stone officiating. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. & Crematory, Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA is respectfully serving the Bowman family.
