He was born in WilkesBarre on July 3, 1931. Mr. Dale was a graduate of Coughlin High School in 1950, served in the U.S. Coast Guard, and retired from Ingersoll Rand, Phillipsburg, N.J.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Dale and Mildred Panugakos; brother, Richard Dale; sister, Mildred (Sis) Hall; stepmother, Pauline (Peg) Dale; and grandson, SFC Jesse James Dale.
James is survived by his wife, Jo Stesney Dale; sons, James A. Dale, Easton; and Philip C. Dale, Dallas; three grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Audrey Searles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, for a memorial viewing and service.
