Marlow — CLORA MAE BLUE TRAVIS, 81, Marlow, Okla., passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009, in Oklahoma City.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 30, at the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Joe Ligon officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Clora was born Monday, Jan. 16, 1928, in Loco, Okla., to Clarence Blue and Daisy Goodmiller Blue. She lived in the Marlow area most of her life. Clora graduated from Marlow High School in 1946.
She married Herbert Gene Travis on May 1, 1948 in Marlow. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 2007.
Clora enjoyed reading, crocheting and playing dominoes. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Clora was an active member of the Faith Sunday School Class and First Baptist Church in Marlow.
Survivors include three sons, Tom Travis and wife Kathy of Marlow, Tim Travis and wife Debbie of Marlow, and Wayne Travis and wife B.J. of Keller, Texas; a daughter, Jeannie Reeves of Champagne, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Mitchell Blue of Odessa, Texas; a sister, Nita Lou Turner and husband Ronnie of Marlow; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Robert Travis; three brothers, Laverne Blue, Gene Blue, and Verl Blue; and a sister, Wanda Harcourd.
