George was the son of Joseph Byron Wright and Emaline Dawson Wright. He came to Imperial County, California with his 2nd wife Caroline Stokley Wright and his family in 1918. In about 1923 he moved his family to Redlands, California. He worked in the Orange growing industry. His first wife was Mary Elizabeth Maupin. George and his family lived at 321 W. Citrus Ave. in Redlands.
